Glad to know its working!

If this has solved your problem then please mark the thread as 'solved' - you can do this from the top of your original post.

Alright so I know that I had gotten it to work. Guess i was wrong Apparently I couldn't actually get the usb drive to work. Everytime I've tried to format and do the correct steps but it says missing Operating System. I have a uefi bios so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it? Sorry for being such a noob

I've analysed your minidumps and the cause of the problem is: hal.dll

Follow These Instructions:
  1. Boot from Windows 7 installation disc
  2. Go to 'Repair Computer'
  3. Open the command prompt
  4. Type in: bootsect /nt60 sys
  5. Hit Enter
  6. Restart your computer after it has finished
Hopefully this should fix the BSOD.

The error was actually happening when I was trying to create the usb recovery drive. I would go into bios to try and boot from it and everytime it would say no operating system. and I thought I followed the instructions but maybe I did something wrong?

Reformat the USB drive - Make sure it's completely empty, then try it again.

Could also try a different USB stick.

Alright I tried a different usb drive and I guess I'm still having the same issue but this time I just have a blank black screen instead of it saying no operating system when i try to boot from it. I've tried both again by reformatting and then again a separate time by doing the full format instead of just a quick one. I'm really lost on what to do at this point becuase I can't figure out how to get it to boot up the recovery

Hmm.. go to this site and download your verison of windows as an '.iso' file: Microsoft Software Recovery

You'll need your product key, follow this thread: Product Key Number for Windows 7 - Find and See

Let me know how you get on.
