The display adapters that are listed in my device manager are Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M.

I ran the sfc /scannow 4 times (rebooting in between each trial) and I kept receiving "found courrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" in response.

Please go to Windows Update and click on Installed updates and see if you have KB3022345 and KB3068708. If you find them, uninstall them (Windows Update - Uninstall an Update), then reboot and run the sfc scan again.

I uninstalled those particular files, rebooted, and then ran the sfc /scannow. It said that there were no integrity violations. I thought the problem was finally resolved so I tried playing a game and was greeted by another BSOD.

shuswenka, I ran all of your dumps from 6/17. They were all the same

Code:
Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.
BugCheck 116, {fffffa8007ae34e0, fffff8800f64dcd8, 0, 2}
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys, Win32 error 0n2

Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+170cd8 )

Which is your graphics driver. This is your current driver

Code:

    Image name: nvlddmkm.sys

In the meantime, get a program that will monitor your CPU and GPU temps. The Hardware Monitor screenshot you displayed showed tour CPU temps, but didn't show the GPU temp that I could see.

If that is the latest driver on the Manufacturer's web site, I would call them and get a new driver for your laptop.
