I'm not really sure that covers the problem, but if it works, that's good. You don't state what brand ram you have, but almost all of the major Manufacturer's have a lifetime warranty on their ram. Whenever you think your problem is fixed, please mark this thread as solved.
    Ah, it's Sector 5: DDR3, 2x4mb kits (4gb per slot = 16gb total), 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24, 1.65v.

I am not familiar with Sector 5, so I can't advise you about that. Look up their web site and see what their warranty is.

See if this is your ram http://www.patriotmemory.com/product...&id=950&type=1 if so, it has a lifetime warranty.

    It's this one: Patriot G series ?Sector 5? Edition 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PGV38G1600ELK - Newegg.com

It seems they no longer make it, but newegg says it has a "Limited lifetime warranty." Worth giving them a call to see what they can do for me. Thanks!

What wizardry are you using? I swear, I tried searching for it on their site multiple times and in the end just got a ton of java 'out of range' errors. Are you magic?
