    Getting BSOD's at random times

    I had made a post about this specific computer before for BSOD's, but was unable to move forward due to an invalid version of windows. I have since reinstalled a valid version of Windows 7 on the same machine and didn't have any BSOD's for almost a month. The new BSOD's seem different then before I reinstalled windows. So I am doing a new post with a new DM Log. Most of the minidumps show:

    BugCheck 1A, {41790, fffffa80053433f0, ffff, 0}

    Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt! ?? ::FNODOBFM::`string'+338a4 )

    There was one possible memory corruption minidump that happened the day I reinstalled windows.

    I am leaning towards a hardware problem since I am still getting BSOD's after reinstall? What do you think? It could still be a driver problem.

    this points to a file associated with windows defender, if you use it, tur it off and try another antivirus and see what happens

    That's as designed when you have MSE installed.

    Microsoft files are rarely if ever the actual cause of BSOD's.

    All of your bugchecks suggest a Memory problem, I would make sure it passes the following test.

       Information
    MemTest86+

    Run a minimum of 8 passes, preferably overnight, or until errors occur using MemTest86+.

    Use this tutorial to help you use MemTest86+:

    Awesome news, I ran memtest and found out that the third stick of ram was bad. It failed in all the slots in under 30 seconds. Once I removed it and ran memtest again everything seemed fine. Kudos to Derekimo!
