Hi Arc,

I noticed a sneaky build up of dust around my CPU so I cleaned it out and ran Prime95 again and recorded with Speccy.

This time I think the max was 84 degrees, I stopped Prime 5 minutes ago and now it's gone down to 32

Here's the spec link:

In regards to your cooler question, It's the stock cooler that came with the CPU, but I've got 2 corsair fans in the case and the GFX card has 2 fans built in. When I put my hand in the case there seems to be a decent flow of air.

I've recently purchased a set of Corsair sp120 fans but I'm yet to install them

CPU cooling is more important than the ventilation. And the stock fans dont perform very well.

Anyway, let us wait and see how it goes after the cleaning.

Hi Arc,

Today I cleaned and reapplied thermal paste to my CPU. I've been testing games whilst using Speccy but I'm still worried about temps as my CPU can touch 80 degrees when playing something like gw2 which I feel is high?

Anyway in regards to your advice on replacing the stock cooler on my cpu, have you got any recommendations ? I'm running an I5 4670.

edit: I'm tight on cash at the moment so something relatively cheap would be great (max 30 )
Thanks

Have a look here: Don't settle for a stock air cooler, water cooler, or CPU cooler fan, especially if you'e looking for extra performance

Choose your cooler depending on your budget. If you are gaming on a regular basis, a custom cooler is a must for you.

Would appreciate if someone on here could take a look at my uploaded dumps.
When I made this thread some months back I was only getting BCcode 7A but as of late I've had a few new ones.

Hopefully someone can spot the issue before I have to run all the tests again!

I cannot read the dumps with a degree of certainty because of the microsoft's symbol server error.

Is that due to a mistake on my end or something?

No, not anything of your end. It is an universal scenario, occurring over a number of weeks. A lot of BSOD threads are going unattended due to this.

Ahh okay,

Should I just bump this in a few weeks or something?

Cheers
