    BSOD playing multiple games.

I am having my computer BSOD on multiple different games and am unsure what is causing the issue.
I am having problems on the following games (that I know of): Witcher 3, 7 Days to Die, GTAV (only once and never again).
I am able to load up the game and use the menus just fine, but when I load into the actual game, my display crashes and my computer becomes unresponsive to where I have to do a hard shutdown.
About a month ago, I upgraded my graphics card from a Nvidia GT 530 to a GTX 970. I originally thought there might be an issue with the drivers, so I did a clean wipe of the video drivers and reinstalled them using the provided software with the 970, then I updated them from the GeForce Experience. I am still getting the same result.
A few weeks ago, I heard that the streamer service for Nvidia Shield may be causing the crashes, so I disabled that to see if it made any difference. It seemed to work for awhile, but then the crashes came back. I am at a roadblock and confused of what to do. Included is the .zip package for the info. Thanks for any help!
EDIT: I was able to find the exact code from the bugcheck. It was 0x00000116.

Hello, Gameguy007 and welcome to the forums. I have check your dump files and all of the dumps are the same. I also looked at some of your error reports and have found some things I would like you to uninstall. This is the results of your dump files

    Code:
    VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)
Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.
    Arguments:
Arg1: fffffa80090fe010, Optional pointer to internal TDR recovery context (TDR_RECOVERY_CONTEXT).
Arg2: fffff88005ea7128, The pointer into responsible device driver module (e.g. owner tag).
Arg3: ffffffffc000009a, Optional error code (NTSTATUS) of the last failed operation.
Arg4: 0000000000000004, Optional internal context dependent data.
A video TDR failure means your Drivers have crashed and did not recover in the allowed time. TDR means Time Delay and Recovery. What I would ask you to do is

    1. Uninstall FRAPS. You are getting quite a few errors from it.

2 Uninstall Norton using the Norton removal tool (https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/...rProfile_en_us) and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials (Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows) Norton is a well known cause of BSODs.

Reinstall your video drivers, downloading them from the link given in the following tutorial. Install only the Graphics driver and PhysX, nothing else. NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems

Next Please, open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

See if your experience improves after that and please let me know.

Ok, so I have gotten rid of FRAPS. I haven't been using it as much as it has become slightly more unstable in certain games.
I got rid of Norton, and put on Avast (I had a friend recommend this to me).
I did a clean re-install of the core Nvidia drivers as per the instructions you provided.
For the cmd sfc scan, I ran it three times, following the process you described, and each time Windows came back saying there were some files that couldn't be fixed. It says I could see the results in a log, but I am unable to access the log. I am hoping that this is nothing too serious.

I did try the games out, just in case something worked, but they (Witcher 3 and 7 Days) both crashed again, with the same error code.
    7Days [0x00000116 (0xfffffa80079ff200, 0xfffff88005e78128, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004)]
    Witcher3 [0x00000116 (0xfffffa800dc01010, 0xfffff880060ca128, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004)].
I should note that not every game I play has been crashing on me. Only a select few. I made sure to check the game files themselves to make sure there wasn't anything wrong and everything checked out. I have been reading around and it seems that many people are having issues with GTX 970 cards. Maybe not the same issues, but it got me thinking if it was a Nvidia issue, which could be possible.
Again, thanks for the help! I never could have figured out the codes on my own!

A 116 code is always a Graphics card related. There are several other things that can cause it, but it is always graphics related. I can't speculate on the 970. I have a 980 which has been great. I can tell you that EVGA has great customer support if it comes to that. What make and model PSU do you have and is your computer an OEM computer?

I have an EVGA 750W G2 power supply, which I got a few weeks later. For the first few weeks, I borrowed a 900W Corsair from my friend as a temp which worked fine. My computer is an OEM built. I bought it from Best Buy and did some research as to how well it upgrades before upgrading to the 970. From what I read, people were saying positive things about being able to upgrade the unit. The model is ASUS CM 6850-07.

OK, 750 Watts is plenty for your card. Please upload the DM Log if you have had another BSOD since the last log. I will look at it later tonight.
