Windows Crash After Booting From Sleep

Hello all, I am aware that there are a lot of other threads like this, but problems like this are usually individually based. I have 7 Pro 64 bit and it was running fine for about a week. The last couple of days, when the system comes out of sleep mode it loads the login screen and the OS fine but after about 5 seconds explorer freezes. Then a quick blue screen flashes and the system restarts. The problem is, when it restarts, it tries to resume windows instead of doing a fresh restart. This also seems to be a problem when I press the restart button on my computer (don't know if its related). While rebooting, the system will take 4 to 5 times as long to boot. So I've been shutting down the computer and starting it up that way.

I have no information on what the blue screen says because it flashes then re-boots. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Jslifka, welcome to the forums
If you had a BSOD, you should have a dump file with information on the problem. Please check this tutorial how to access and submit it. There are members here that are very good at analyzing that and should be able to help you.

are there any clues in event viewer?are all your drivers up to date and also it could be caused by a driver that you've updated.

Hi and welcome to seven forums

This dump was caused by a driver failing and returning a bad result and probably has several things helping to cause it.
First there are some really old drivers in the system so you probably did not do a clean istall this OS.

    Look here for info
    Bug Check 0x9F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

I would update all the critical drivers (BIOS,video, wifi, etc)
then I would run a system file check on your system file to verify and repair them
to run type cmd in search>right click and run as admin
    SFC /SCANNOW

    Let us know the results

then I would download and run memtestx86 for at least several hours (preferably overnight)

I ended up figuring out the problem. Apparently i needed to install my JMicron. Still cant explain though why i never had a problem before then all of a sudden it started happening. I guess thats what you get for using a new OS. Thanks for the help.
