Are you sure you're running the G Skill at the recommended Vdimm (ram voltage) and timings? I'd check that before contacting them, first.
Use CPU-Z SPD tab to find out exact model of your ram. Then visit G Skill's website to check. DDR3 normal default = 1.5 Vdimm
They probably need more juice, especially if performance memory.
If this is yours, set Vdimm to 1.6v. But ya, definitely check which is yours first. Some need 1.65v from them; even some 1.9v.
I doubt the memory is actually faulty. I think it's interesting that people incorrectly assume that the bios settings won't need adjusting unless they are overclocking.
Probably half the complaints in here are for that reason alone. The i7 machines typically need the VTT voltage to be adjusted upwards a bit even if you aren't overclocking. I guess they didn't include that info in the directions.
I too have been experiencing random BSOD after a fresh install of windows 7 - 64bit. It has occured while watching videos (2) and while playing battlefield (1). I was thinking possibly the ram as well because I have 6gig installed and I know for a fact the system was rock stable before the upgrade. Xp was only using 3gig of Ram due to 32 bit addressing (minus the Graphics Card Ram). So the other three gig was in effect dormant - untill the installation of the 64bit system. So i will run mem test and let you know the results.
