OS deadlock issues persisting post-OS reinstall

So I've been running into this issue within the last month where I'll be either gaming, website browsing, or listening to music, and my PC will stutter for a brief second and then everything will lock up. I won't be able to move my mouse and keyboard stops working. However, the screen doesn't flicker, it doesn't artifact, I don't hear any weird sounds, no BSOD; it just... freezes.

After looking into some things it looks like it could have been related to nVidia drivers. However, I've tried their new hotfix which claims to have fixed the problems for many users. I've also tried many of their older drivers to rule out single driver issues for the card, but it's still persisting even after an OS re-install.

After attempting a few things I got frustrated and completely wiped out the OS, reformatted the primary SSD, reset BIOS, and re-installed a fresh copy of the OS; only to find out that within a few hours of the re-install, it froze up again with the exact same symptoms. I'm running out of options here on what it could be, so I'm going to list off my system specs and what I've tried below if someone could provide any suggestions, I'll gladly take any advice.

    System Specs:
    Operating System

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

    CPU
    Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
    Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

    RAM
    12.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz (9-9-9-24)

    Motherboard
    ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 (LGA1155)

    Graphics
3071MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (EVGA)

    Monitors
    VG248 (1920x1080@144Hz)
    DELL U2412M (1920x1200@59Hz)

    Storage
238GB SAMSUNG SSD 830 Series (SSD)
931GB Western Digital WDC WD1001FALS-00E3A0 (SATA)

    Things I've Tried:

    • Reset BIOS to factory default
    • Reformatted primary SSD and re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
    • Installed chipset/MoBo/SATA drivers
    • Ran all Windows updates
    • Installed drivers needed for hardware like GPU, headset, keyboard, etc.
    • Installed common programs like VLC, Firefox, Chrome, etc.

    Things I've Looked At:

    • BIOS has been reset to default, no overclocking used
    • Temperatures for CPU, MoBo, GPU, and all other devices are normal in-BIOS and SW monitoring in-OS
    • Core voltages in-BIOS seem fine
    • Ran MemTest86 V6.1.0 Free Edition for 8 hours and returned no errors at all (Screenshots)
    • Benchmarked SSD with in-house Samsung software

I'm not sure where to go from here honestly. I've reformatted the PC into a basically freshly built PC, OS updated, very minimal programs, and it's already freezing. I'm starting to rule out that it's software related; but I guess it could be anything at this point.

    Thank you for any suggestions.

Could someone recommend another area or forum to post this in? I guess I can't find the appropriate place to post this since it's not considered a BSOD...
