    BSOD during backup 0x0000000A

    So, there I was backing up like a good little boy...

    narrative aside, i got the dreaded bsod 0xA IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    during the subsequent forced boot and POST, my RAID controller threw an error, but i was too busy to do more than stare at it in mild disbelief and i didn't write it down. no big deal - i started RAID Xpert right away and it told me everything was good to go.

    i'm not good at deciphering crash dumps, even with BlueScreenView (which is a lovely tool, i think...) so here's the relevant data.

    also, maybe worth noting, i was using AOMEI Backupper to back my 2TB RAID1 array up to my 2TB external via USB3. i have restarted the backup, and so far so good - 1 hour in, 4 hours remaining.

    Hiya and welcome to SevenForums!

    BlueScreenView is not lovely at all, it provides fake info. That's at least my opinion.

    Anyways
    Code:
    BugCheck A, {0, 2, 1, fffff80003446fee}

    Probably caused by : memory_corruption ( nt!MmZeroPageThread+8f5 )
    Please run MemTest86+ for 8 passes. It must be MemTest86+. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    hey, thanks for the quick reply. i will run memtest after work and hopefully this will be relatively painless.

    just so i can streamline my process, if memtest reveals no errors, what next?

    EDIT: also, the backup completed with no further errors.

    Okay, but still run MemTest86+. It's weird if MemTest86+ dosen't show any errors because it should. But we'll get to that later if that scenario happens.
