BSOD when trying to start any game

Hello,

I got this BSOD whenever I tried to play any game. It also happened when I tried to open the NVIDIA Control Panel to find the problem.
('Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.' nvlddmkm.sys - print screen attached)

I just reverted back from Windows 10 to Windows 7 when this problem appeared.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the NVIDIA driver, but didn't seem to help.

I'd really appreciate any help/tips.

Thanks a lot!

try this test to see if the actual video card is to blame or not:

P.S possibly unrelated, but your BIOS is out of date as well, if you know how to update it do that. if not here is some help:

Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately, I keep getting the BSOD every time I try to launch the FurMark test...
this is getting frustrating.

if it is crashing out as soon as you launch the test then your GPU is having some serious issues, try and obtain another one, maybe from a friend and see if issues persist, just to confirm what we are dealing with here.

Found a fix for my problem from a website.
I disabled NVIDIA from startup, then disabled NVIDIA from Services.msc.
I had no idea what I was doing. but it worked. No BSOD, games working fine.

Do you happen to know why it worked? Just curious.

BSOD when playing games. No specific game, just any game.
It seems something is going wrong with my GPU or one of the drivers. I feel like it's most likely hardware failure, due to extreme treatment of my laptop. What happens is the whole screen kind of just gets chopped up into squares (sometimes the patterns vary. Sometimes, it's not even a ****ing...
