    BSOD while copying files - 0x0000007a & 2nd param 0000185

    Hi,

read a few threads, hope someone can help me - would really appreciate it! :)

I keep getting BSODs - first was a few weeks ago but at this time i didn't have time to care about it.
had no problems in the last weeks but a few days ago I started copying files for backup and while copying files I get the BSODs

mostly are 0x0000007a & 2nd param ffffffff`c0000185 - this leads me to the suspicion that my HDD is dying

can someone please have a look - maybe you have suggestions what i could do :)

Plan for now: (as i don't want to loose data, my first priority is copying the files - hence no disk-checks etc )
    1. finish copying files
    2. try to look at s.m.a.r.t and run a RAM-check
    3. reinstall windows
    4. trying linux

    Hiya and welcome to SevenForums!

Just looking at it from here i'm almost certain that the HDD is dying.

    Code:
    BugCheck 7A, {fffff6fc40009a10, ffffffffc0000185, 392d9860, fffff880013423b0}

Run MemTest86+, It must be MemTest86+. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Run SeaTools(DO NOT RUN FOR SSDS) SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use

Run sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r.
Install the latest updates from Windows Update.

Do the exact same steps for chkdsk /r but instead of typing in sfc /scannow type chkdsk /r.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
