Do you have warranty?
If you do, you need to RMA the laptop.
This is looking for me like the GPU is damaged.
Out of warranty. Could it be something to do with Bios? Cos I guess I started getting the BSODs around the time i updated bios using a intel driver utility app. One more question.. is there someway i can run the DDU software using shortcut keys or something?
You could try setting the settings in the BIOS back to default, but I don't think it would help much as with laptops there aren't many options compared with desktops.
I don't think you can use shortcut keys to start a program if that is what you mean.
I have tried it, but failed.
How do I change the setting in BIOS back to default? Also I forgot to mention that at the time I started getting no display I had uninstalled all the graphics drivers using DDU. So at the moment the system is on default VGA drivers.
In the BIOS, you can see in the bottom a few options.
One of these options should say something like "optimal default settings"
Hi,
I managed to connect it to an external monitor. I uninstalled the drivers using DDU and now the display has 4 multicolor thick bands. My laptop monitor doesnot turn on though. In 640 resolution it has lots of horizontal lines all over the screen. When i reinstall the ati drivers i get the atikmpag.sys bsod.
Actually about 80 percent of the screen is visible and is clear (in external monitor).Just that there are 4 vertical bands at intervals across the screen. Could it have something to do with the intel chipset drivers? If so how can i roll back.
Moreover i noticed that the sleep option has been greyed out and the volume icon is stuck at mute. It says no audio device installed though it appears in device manager.

Can you please verify the cable you are using is proper, so if you connect something else on the cable the screen on the monitor is normal.
