Hi vishwanath,

As it looks like, you are running 2 AV's simultaneously: AVG & Security and Protection.
If this is correct, then it explains why the network driver is flagged. Both are trying to retrieve data from the internet what causes conflicts.
It is recommended to uninstall 1 of them and always keep only 1 AV.
I can't find uninstall instructions for Security and Protection, maybe you can?

Thanks a lot, axe0, I have already turned off windows firewall and windows defender..
Or is it that you are referring to a different security and protection ??

I think it is from
Security and Protection
but I am not 100% sure.
If it is not, please make screenshots of your installed programs and post them.

Hello axe0
May be some old installation of symantec was not cleanly uninstalled!! I am not sure.. I had just downloaded norton uninstaller and ran it.. at least the way it ran, it looks like it uninstalled the program..
I will keep things under observation and will get back to you, if i face this issue again..
Thanks a lot again..

I do not think i can believe that norton uninstall tool..
Could it be some other issue.. like an outdated driver.. or NetBios over TCP/IP enabled??
