Daily BSOD when starting any game

Hi, I've had this problem for a year or two now, hoping in vain it would go away on it's own.

Here's the problem: every single day, my computer BSODs once when I'm playing a game. Just once, never more often. When I then reboot my system, and play the exact same game, I can play until I shut off my PC. It doesn't happen with anything else: just any video game.

A friend of mine has a feeling it may be due to the wear and tear of my hard drive disc. All of the hardware in My System Specs dates from 2009 (except my GPU, obv.) I've gone ahead and used the DM Log Collector. It would be nice to find out what's causing it. Do let me know if there's anything else I can do to help you guys.

Hi DoctorObviously,

Unfortunately, no record of any BSOD has been saved.
Please check {windows partition}\windows\minidump and check if there are any dump files saved.
Please make sure your pc is configured for small dump files How to configure minidump | Windows 7 tutorial

Ah, could it be possible that it doesn't save a record of a BSOD because I press the restart button on my PC whenever it's about to BSOD?

Depends on when you press the power button.
If the collection is 100% then it doesn't matter, if it doesn't reach 100% then yes it is possible.

Okay, I will keep the thread open, and post a new reply when it BSODs again with a new file.

Make sure you're not using any program like disk cleanup and ccleaner for cleaning your pc while troubleshooting
Quote:
If you are using a program like Ccleaner please stop using it while troubleshooting.
This because programs like Ccleaner remove dump files that are needed to troubleshoot.
Or configure Ccleaner to not remove dump files:

I get the BSOD whenever I'm about to get in a game e.g CS:GO. But this doesn't happen all the time. It happens about once a day. Usually I wouldn't find this a problem but I get banned if my computer doesn't boot up fast enough. I have used the SF Diagnostic Tool and the zip is here. Please help.

Hey all. I've often used the information on this forum to solve problems by myself, but I'm stumped this time. I started having frequent BSODs about the middle of the past week. After popping open the case, I noticed the fan on my graphics card wasn't spinning - probably the fan burned out, or...
