New computer build - Random BSOD errors, at least 8 different codes
I've been trying to fight with my newly built computer for the past week, but I just can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
I've been having all sorts of random BSOD errors, they don't seem to happen at any set interval or have any obvious cause to them. Sometimes they happen within 10 minutes of each other, sometimes 4 hours later. They all have differing codes as well. I suppose I should start from the beginning of my week and explain some of the things I did.
When I first tried to install Windows Updates, it locked up on one of the updates and stayed there for an hour, before ultimately restarting itself and saying it failed. I ended up getting all the updates to install, but then I began to get random BSOD errors. I had all sorts of different codes and couldn't figure out what to do.
Since then I've reinstalled Windows, so I lost all of those previous logs. However, this time around I was able to get all the windows updates installed with only a few security updates failing, and the ones that failed were successful after giving them a second attempt. But I've still been having the random BSOD errors.
Not all of my crashes/freezes have managed to create dumps either, some of them would go to bluescreen but hang before creating a dump file, so I'd have to manually restart them. And yesterday I tried Driver Verifier to see if I could figure out a specific cause, and while it was running it stopped giving me bluescreen errors and instead, whenever my computer would crash it would just completely lock up with the whole screen turning into a mess of garbled lines. During this time I did however manage to find a specific crash from the Gigabyte App Center which I since uninstalled, but I've still had crashes since then. (The dump file mentioning gdrv.sys is from this time)
It's also worth noting that the most recent dump has a bugcheck of 124, but on the actual bluescreen itself it was telling me it was a Bugcheck 101, mentioning the secondary processor not receiving a clock interrupt.
Anyway, I've ran memcheck as well as the usual hard drive scanners and none of them have come up with any errors, so I'd like to think it's driver related but I'm really not sure of anything anymore.
Edit: I forgot to mention but I haven't overclocked anything, at least not to my knowledge. I did go into my bios to manually change my ram timings, since the automatic setting was different from what my ram said it should run with, but that hasn't seemed to change anything.
Edit 2: So, I did a little test that might narrow things down a bit. I let my computer run overnight in Safe Mode while letting enough things run so the CPU/Memory usage was around 30-50%. And despite this, it didn't crash at all overnight. That says to me that it's not related to the CPU or Memory, as I would think if there was a problem with those it would be crashing even while in Safe Mode.
Edit 3: I've determined the problem to be in some way related to my graphics card, as pulling it out has caused all my problems to stop. I'm not sure if it's a bad card or if it's just driver conflicts.
Edit 4: Just when I thought I had it figured it out it crashed again with the graphics card out. So I'm testing the ram now, still open to other suggestions.
