    That's what's confusing me a bit why would they put 2 different sizes and different brands in you would think they would all be the same brand ....so should I purchase a set or just swop the 4gb Kingston for one the Same or is it because they are different makers that it has got corrupted .......if I purchase a set do you recommend I upgrade to 2 x 4gb or will this cause problems on the device thanks

    It must be the identical RAM model because if it is different it can cause BSODs.

    Hi axe I have tried to install the system info .axe but it will not install saying I need .net framework installed

    I will try and give you any info you need to help if I can mate
    I have uploaded the two memory sticks that I have in my device I have taken the 4gb out and I am running on just the 2gb now hope I have done the right thing or do I need to put it back in?
    I have tried to upload a couple of pics of the mem sticks but it will not let me upload saying internal server error 500

    the 2gb stick is HMT325S6BFR8C-H9 NO AA
    The 4gb stick is ACR512X64D3S13C-9G

    The .exe is no installation.

    Its saying V.0.30319 I get a security warning off the download as well

    If you right click the file and choose properties, do you see something like that the file is being blocked?
    If you do, unblock the file.
    The .net framework is just searching the website of Microsoft for a download :)
    However, if you could be a little bit more specific like with posting a screenshot of the message, I would gladly help with a specific download.

    and these are the memory sticks I have in my laptop its the 4gb that is corrupted so if you could advise which to buy the same 1 x 4gb or a kit 2 x 2 or 2 x 4gb thanks
