You might want to read Troubleshooting stop 0x7B and stop 0xED.
A troubleshooting process written by Arc special for this error :)
I don't know where to begin. I don't see SATA in BIOS.

What should the sequence order be? HD then CD drive, or vise versa?

    Tried Chkdsk /f/ r d: I got the usn journal...error

I can't access safe boot with or without cmp at all.

I don't have any blanks to create bootables at the moment... I don't have a 4gb usb stick

    That didn't work. Thanks though.
Alright well have you done this one?

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    /Boris :)

No, I haven't. That's a lot of reading. Can you tell me the basis of it?

With a laptop you have the very minimum possibilities in the BIOS.
Most of the BIOS possibilities should be fine for you.

What kind of a cd is the one you mentioned in post 3?

It's a system file checker tool that will search for and try to repair errors found on a system..

A blank disk. I just want my files from the HD. I have a new one already set up.

OK. When I go to System Recovery Options, it says the partition size is 0 MB. Does that mean there's nothing on the drive or no more space on the drive?

Well that would point to a faulty disk.

If you have another disk that you could install Windows on, I would do it. After that you have installed a new Windows you can then tap the Windows button -> click My Computer -> and manually access the drive there!

    Is the cd a cd-rom, cd-r or cd-rw?

    cd-rom = only reading
cd-r = recordable, write once only
cd-rw = rewritable, write erase and re-write again endless times
