    Blue Screen USB Controler

I got a blue screen and looking at the details of it, it seems if it's a intel USB controller issue but I'm not sure, attached are the details. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi themorus,

you are right about the USB controller though it is known that 3 of 5 cases it is the Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver so just to be sure open up an elevated command prompt and run "sfc /scannow" . without quotes and a space between c and /.

And report back the results if there are any!

And here is the link to Intels download portal where you can download it.

Cheers and keep us updated on the issue.

    Well that is odd.

How about you do this one instead:
    Intel® Driver Update Utility

It will install the Intel Update utility on your computer.

I ran that and it came back with nothing. I also got another USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver and ran it but when it finishes I can't use the mouse or keyboard so I have to power off.

Alright sorry about this but I don't think Intel is the one that manages the USB ports, I guess it is ASMedia because of the fact that you an ASUS motherboard and that on their Support Download page there are more recent drivers for the ASMedia USB3.0 controller.

So please visit ASUS Support Download page, select your OS from the drop down list and scroll down to the USB link click on it and it will expand and I want you to try with the latest version of Asmedia, it's the one at the top.

    Cheers /Boris :)

That dll is part of something inside the AI SUITE of ASUS, maybe you should try to reinstall it?

Okay well themorus post back if you get any more BSODs!

Or if everything seems to be stable and there hasn't been any new ones for a few days, then you can mark this thread solved.
