I'll try the hotfix. Just read that the hotfix you mentioned didn't undergo full testing, is it safe to use it, it will not give me more problems then i already have atm? Since Microsoft said it when i requested this download hotfix, "WARNING This hotfix has not undergone full testing." etc in email.

That wording has been around since the Windows NT4 days, and it's not totally accurate since Vista. Since Vista (and newer) is a component-based servicing model (versus a flat-file based servicing model like XP/2003 and older), all builds have to undergo testing before they're shipped. They might not undergo the same testing that a service pack might go through, but they go through the same testing a security-related update would. It's no more or less safe than a security update, for the most part, although you are using code that is used by fewer people (on the LDR, limited distribution release branch) than the average install (using the GDR, general distribution release branch), so bugs are still possible. However, this one's from awhile ago, and there's no known issues with it.

Plus, you are actually seeing the precise issue that hotfix was created to fix, so you should be doubly OK here.

BSOD (well black) when Hibernating sometimes
Hi Everyone... I often put my computer in Hibernate mode. But sometimes (1 out of 10) it will go “blue screen (well black) of death” instead of hibernate. When I boot it back up (after having to hold down the power button), the "System did not shut down properly" screen comes up. I just select...
