BSOD happened with loud screeching noises when bro was on pc.

My little bro was playing games, watching youtube, etc when BSOD appeared, the computer i guess first froze up, made loud noises then went to BSOD. It's an old all-in-one pc, but works fine for everyday use for hw, watching vids, etc. I would like to keep it BSOD free lol. If you see that i need to update anything, let me know. I think the last time i had BSOD is when my wifi adapter driver was out of date and needed a new driver update, and the problem went away, got a new BSOD yesterday. Wish I could give more information as to what happened, but I wasnt at the pc at the time it BSODed.

What happened to the Visual showing how loud the sound is?
On my laptop, the only way to turn up or down the sound (besides using the volume controls in Windows) is to use the F8, and F9 keys. When I would use F9 to turn up the volume, a visual in the middle of the screen would show up, showing how loud my sound is, kind of like on a TV. Now it's not...
