    computer is unable to shutdown, gives error 0x0000007E


    This is a clean installation of windows 7 and yet I still get a blue screen every time my laptop reboot/shutdown

    Just to mention, all drivers and software from HP are meant for Windows 8.1, you can't simply install Windows 7 because there is no support for Windows 7.

    ok, but I have one question, why is the microsoft watchdog timer stopped and how can I start it

    I can't answer the question why it is stopped, because I don't know what code 10 means.
    For the question how to start it you need to be at another part of this forum or someone else is able to answer it.

    A watchdog timer problem could sometimes be related to bluescreens, but that is not the case now.
