I too am experiencing random freezes in windows 7 64 bit. Sometimes it would freeze right on start-up, other times after half hour, or just won't freeze at all. When I play games it seems to behave itself. I took out my old ram (4g dual channel ballistix tracers 1g in each slot) and installed new patriot RAm ddr2 1066 4 x 2 gb each slot. I did a driver sweeper/cleaner and fresh installed drivers for my ATI HIS HD 4870 1gb video card. I can't seem to find the c:\windows\minidump\memory.dmp file to upload for you all to inspect, even a search won't bring it up. The issue i see most is this: -
Every time I freeze I have to hard restart the computer, mouse stops responding and the whole system locks up, I try to push the power button to see if it would shutdown yet it may blink but is then completely unresponsive. I've searched and searched all threads yet there's nothing at all I can find. I also did a sfc /scannow in CMD run with admin and no file integrity issues were found. I'm really at my wits end!!
