    Help with intermittent BSOD

I have been using Windows 7 for about a week and have had 15 bluescreens. I think they have all happened while using the internet. All of the MiniDump files seem to have identical information using Bluescreen view. I have attached all of the minidump files.
The information from Event Viewer is:
    Event id: 41
    Source: Kernel-Power

I have searched online for information but as yet have been unable to find anything to help.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I removed the files you suggested and haven't been able to boot into Windows 7 since. It won't boot into safe mode either. I tried to run repair from the Windows dvd but it says it is unable to repair the system. It doesn't bluescreen just reboots when it starts to load Windows.

He said update these drivers "or" remove them from your system. In retrospect the update would have been better.

Well, yeah. My bad for using the word "remove" instead of much better "uninstall."

So sorry about that. You're probably going to need a clean install because it will be difficult for a less-than-very-advanced user to replace the files offline.

If you think you know how to do that, give it a shot. If not, clean install. You will not lose any data as long as you don't format anything in the process. A Windows.old folder will be created with all old stuff.

System will be better off for it anyhow.

Before you even start on that though, I'd thoroughly test the memory overnight with a dos app.

Thanks for the info. I looked for updates for the files before I removed them but could not find anything. I'll test the memory tonight and then probably do a clean install. What will be saved in the Windows.old folder?

Well, you won't find specific updates by Googling. You have to find what they're for and take it from there, like visit the software's website etc...

Everything there now will be put into the Windows.old folder if you clean install.

I ran an 8 hour memory test and had no errors. I have Windows 7 running again and have either updated or removed the files you listed. Two of the files were Acronis True Image files which were removed when I removed the program. The ASACPI.sys file has been updated to a new version. The two other files have been removed. I am still getting bluescreens and have attached the latest minidump. Could you please check the file and see if there is something else we can try?

    Thanks!!!
