BSOD while trying to start Diablo 3 System_Service_Exception

I'll preface this by saying that this is a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit in the last 24 hours. After the initial install, I had a lot of problems with BSOD due to what I think were issues with drivers and Windows updates. I thought I had everything sorted out when this last BSOD occurred.

The only thing I saw was the Diablo 3 logo loading and then the BSOD. I ran a sfc scan and found no issues. It looks like this same BSOD has occured 4 times today from the Event Viewer. Let me know what else I can provide.

Thank you

Please replace Norton with Microsoft Security Essentials while troubleshooting

How old is your laptop exactly? I see a few different crashes, this could be indicative to all sort of things including hardware failure.

Thanks for the reply. I received this laptop from Dell in February 2012. I've had a multitude of issues when I upgraded to Windows 10 last year. Since upgrading, I've had to replace one of my memory sticks 3 times (in warranty). The last time I sent it in, the tech on the phone said they would probably replace the motherboard and reload Windows 7 for me, but they only replaced the memory again, which failed. Something isn't right, but Dell is only putting bandaids on.

Since I made this post, I had another BSOD when I was trying to perform a backup to my external hard drive. When I check the Event Viewer, it says "The backup catalog is corrupted. Please recover the catalog from a backup using the Windows Server Backup snap-in or the 'WBADMIN RESTORE CATALOG' command." Also, my Nvidia card didn't load on the reboot, which occurred frequently with Windows 10 and was a reason I went back to Windows 7.

The last crash points to the video memory.

I'd like to try something if this is possible.
When you boot, you can press a button to get the boot options, press this button (I believe this is F2 or F12?)
If in the boot options you see an option 'Diagnostics tests' or something, click or choose it and let it run as extensive as possible.
If you don't see this option, reply back and we'll go from there

So I ran the initial diagnostic and it found nothing. When I ran the more thorough diagnostic it found a memory integrity test discrepancy error code 2000-0123, validation 31866, which is an ongoing problem I've had with this machine. This is 4th time in 6 months that I've had memory fail.

I spoke with Dell and I'm sending it in again for motherboard, memory and possibly video card replacement.

Thanks for your help. I wouldn't have considered a more thorough diagnostic until you suggested it.

No problem, I'm glad the cause is found
Let's hope Dell does replace more than memory only this time.
