As long as you are absolutely sure they are virus free and they are legit, yes. I know about Humble Bundle. They are OK. I suspect most of your viruses and computer problems came from the cracked software. I wouldn't advise ever putting it back on my machine. You will have a lot of people say I am crazy and they do it all the time. You have seen the evidence yourself. But, before putting anything back on the machine including your other hard drives, be certain they have no viruses and Trojans in them.

Also be careful about viruses on anything like your USB Flash drives too. Anything can be infected. Just be sure they are not before putting them back on your clean machine.

As soon as you have finished the install I would use a program like Macrium and make a system image and put it on an external hard drive or somewhere safe. You can use it to restore the system to that point. You will never have to do another clean install again. Just restore that image. many people do regular images so if something were to happen, they could restore the image and not lose a lot of time and effort. You can even make an image of your game files.

understood i checked out the site (have i been pwnd) and my steam account is clear also i did safemode scan and had my laptop hook up to my HD's and scanned them each with no hits. so i think they are safe with a few more files. ya i understand about the bad files im done with that now that i have no more reason to get them or need them i can get legit or alt open source programs online they are not the same but close enough for me. and no issues with games either. i have no mans sky on pre-order and am excited to get it this is another reason for me to clean my crap up. that and im starting a new business up and am making money now and need not to be screwing myself.

on a separate note it took forever to find what motherboard version i had it was in a corner under the video card, (its version 1.1)

They can be hard to find. there is software that will find it for you though. Sounds like you are doing a good job.

cool ya the steam backup feature is doing its thing. it dose it without extra files so mods viruses anything that is not what the game comes with is being copied according to steam that is. and if i want anything like those i have to do extra effort so i am going to do this backup image from steam and not do mods ill get them after i redo windows. they are not as big as the games. i already backup pictures, movies, and documents easy enough. and im pretty sure they are clean. oh i thought of something my appdata hidden folder do i need to backup that?

i figure i ask since im backing up right now as it is.
