BSOD,error 0x00000116 on startup or AMD display has stopped/recovered

The past few days I've been trying to get my graphics card (ATI AMD Radeon 5470) to work properly with little success. I downloaded nirsoft BSOD and I'll attach its text file. I played around with the atikmpag.sys files and got my studio 1558 to boot the other day, until about 30 secs-in I'll get the display recovery message till it freezes and gives me the same bsod. I've already taken apart the laptop and applied new thermal paste/ cleaned out the heatsink and the processors now run below the average temps for this specific model (1558 i7). I'm running out of ideas, I've reset my windows and now can't even get the laptop display to boot at all with the driver enabled. I'm currently connected by VGA. Thank-you to whoever takes the time to read this, feedback will be greatly appreciated. Edited the attached file, sorry first time.

Make sure your installation becomes up to date and try to install the AMD drivers only

Make sure that you update Windows, it is critical vulnerable.
    Code:
    OS Version: 6.1.7600 N/A Build 7600
I'm aware that Windows has been reinstalled, though I have no idea why.
    Code:
Original Install Date: 5/19/2016, 5:22:07 PM
