Hey all,

Every once in a while my computer decides to crash on me. It can happen 3-4 minutes after booting up and during the boot up. I have no idea why or how.. it just happens I suppose. If any of you got an idea, please let me know!

I've also ran the DM Log Collector program and uploaded it to MEGA, link down below.

It crashes in cold boot only? Is it stable after some time of using the computer?

Anyway, there is no crash dump. The event logs are not also giving adequate information. So we may need to apply different stress tests.

At first, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

information   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

warning   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

Tip   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Hey Arc,

Thanks for your reply! Funny story: Right as I was about to post saying: 24 hours have passed and no crash.. It crashed. It also seems that I cannot use my keyboard or mouse during the startup screen where it says: Boot in safe mode, normal Windows mode, etc. I also don't know where to find the crash dump.. Long-story short, it crashed again.

USB keyboard/mouse?

You may need to boot into the BIOS > BIOS Features tab.
Fast Boot is disabled by default; enable it.
Then set USB Support to Full Initial.
Now you will be able to use the USB keyboard/mouse at this stage.

For supplying the crash dumps, use the DM log collector: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

Going to run the DM Log Collector right now, I'll update this and add a download link once it's done.

Unfortunately there is no crash dump in the zip. Have you seen any BSOD screen?
If so, can you reproduce the BSOD (following the same way), take a camera snap of the BSOD screen and let us see it?
