John, I wanted to know if the PSU was sufficient enough to provide power to the whole system. Nothing related to if it was good or not. It may have been a good PSU, but if it couldn't provide enough power then checking the 3.3v, 5v and 12v values wouldn't be enough.

Ok Martijn sorry late reply - overseas right now.

Now the PSU I was just eliminating the basics and I would be really interested if that Power_Good signal voltage at pin 8 and the 24 pin plug was not dropping in and out and it could be the cause if the system was being stretched by the components on board and causing issues because an interrupted supply even though it may look really good on that readout may actually be causing crash or freezing issues.
I am just a great believer in no PSU therefore no power hence no working components anywhere however healthy they may be.
