    Custom build BSODs periodically


    At apparently random intervals the machine BSODs with error message similar to:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen

    Welcome to our forum zbibliophile.

    I'm no BSOD Team member but I do know they are going to want Windows 7 Updated properly.
    I suggest doing so.
    You only have 2 hotfix's installed

    Thanks for the prompt reply. This is not my computer, but I am chagrined that I didn't even check the windows update status. I'll take care of that right away.

    Indeed we want the system up to date :)

    When the system is up to date and if another BSOD occurs, please run the DM Log Collector again and upload a new zip.

    Please remove all pirated programs and such from your system before we can start troubleshooting.

    I see ... you are referring to the hosts file entries you cited above that redirect the WGA checks to localhost. I will return this machine to its owner as is and mark this thread solved. Thanks for the education axe0.
