Looks like that didn't fix the problem I've been having, when I tried loading up Fallout 4 it was just as bad as before. Hmmm. I don't know what could be the source of this issue my computer has had for so long now.

I was looking through my Programs and Features list and found that I installed the GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS version 6.80 on the same day as the original BSOD that caused all of this, 8/28/16. I might have tried to update that before or after the BSOD but I don't remember exactly. I might have installed this incorrectly as I haven't tried updating the BIOS too much, is there any way to check? I found this suspicious since it says it was installed on the same day the BSOD happened.

I'm sorry as I'm also very confused myself on some of these. I haven't got much experience with everything we have been going over, such as the BIOS and motherboards before. My graphics card, the radeon r9 270x, is made by GIGABYTE so I'm thinking that is why I downloaded the GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS.

I just opened up Piriform Speccy and it says my motherboard is a "FOXCONN 2AB1 (CPU 1)" I should update the motherboard on my specs, when I first set up my system specs I didn't know how to find the motherboard correctly and must have put the wrong one.

When I went to FOXCONN's website I wasn't able to find a motherboard called "2AB1" when I put in all the information for the motherboard, platform-amd, socket-am3, and chipset-AMD 785G. The only two motherboards the results gave me back were the Cinema II Deluxe and Cinema II Premium. I'm looking for the "2AB1" BIOS correct? Since it seems I downloaded the wrong BIOS from GIGABYTE.

I also tried downloading the .NET Framework v4.6.2 to update my .NET from 4.0 and it seems that it still hasn't updated to the right version.

Ok mate I know this is very frustrating and I have probably linked this before but to find what motherboard you have follow, this
Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic. Now the section you want will be labelled - fpr example Asus boards usually have "Nuvoton" and Gigabyte boards "ITE" in any case the section you want will have Vbatt or VBAT in it (dead give away)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in and then click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. See pic for example.
Use PART B: and see my pic for what you should see for the motherboard in your machine and alternative would be just to look and the boards model and brand is usually near the chipset see pic

Okay I downloaded the HWiNFO and the motherboard it lists is the "FOXCONN 2AB1(ITE IT8721F)" and the chip set is "AMD RS880 + SB750/SB710"

Also on the HWiNFO it lists my harddrive with a warning and yellow exclamation mark, not looking good.

Hmm the yellow warning is not good and without reading right back through the thread have we tested the drive yet?? The board as far as I can see is getting on in age now and most Foconn's I have come across have usually been in quite old machines and because I cannot get much details from a Google on it apart from those who want to sell one?

I have run chkdsk and it came back fine, and I ran a few other programs to check the health of the hard drive. Most came back positive, except one that reported around 70% health, can't remember exactly what test that one was.

Okay so I was looking at the GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS that I was talking about that I installed, and found it is just a program to backup/flash your BIOS. I downloaded it to check what my BIOS was, so it shouldn't have messed up my BIOS or anything I think. I haven't downloaded any actual BIOS updates or flashed it or anything.

Looks like it might be my Harddrive failing which is why my computer runs games so slowly still. I don't how to transfer everything to a new Harddrive as my Win 7 came installed with the computer when I bought it and I don't have any install disc to reinstall Win 7 on the new Hard drive, pretty sure its the OEM version. And yeah my computer is getting pretty old, bought it around 6 years ago.
