BSOD attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout fail

    Hello,

I was using my PC as usual when my dual-monitors just went black. Upon restarting, I got a BSOD with error message: "Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed" - It also notes nvlddmkm.sys in the description.

I have downloaded DM Log Collector in an attempt to upload the information here, however the program runs and does not create the .zip file as it says.

Any help towards a solution is appreciated.

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K @ 3.50GHz
    Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
    RAM: 16gb

    Thank you kindly.

EDIT: Found the DM Log Collector zip file.

First off, Welcome to our forum zurixoxo.

The first problem you need to take care of is getting a legal copy of Windows 7 installed.

    Your current install is counterfeit.

    From your zip.

System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
    System Model: Z87X-UD3H
    Product ID: 00426-OEM-8992662-00173
Original Install Date: 12/19/2013, 11:00:11 AM
System Boot Time: 1/19/2017, 9:38:28 PM

You are using a Asus OEM key on a Gigabyte after market retail motherboard.
