    Windows 7 Crash!


    Hi guys,
    I was extracting a RAR file(4gb) i left my computer few minutes when i come back my computer was shutted down. I Started it then
    A windows repair system show up and repaired my computer after i retsart it again
    I saw that all my installed Software were not here!
    Help!!!!

    I'd ask myself whether there was a nasty payload inside the RAR for starters...

    Very true QDos.

    Did you burn an ISO file?

    Be aware, these Rar files may contain virues.

    The Rar file contain Crysis game that i already extracted before on vista and was a succesfull extraction

    o .. what u mean by Did u burn ISO File?
    Yes i burned a DVD Movie

    I thought you ere referring to a Windows installation disk

    I saw that all my installed Software were not here!
    Full virus scan should be done

    Always extract dodgy RAR files into a sandbox or virtual machine environment... some game distro's which may be 'free' are packed with trojans, rootkits, other virals - just to exploit unwitting end users...

    its very late but for other who gonna see this tread : I resolved my problem(like 4days after i created this thread) by updating bios. Laptop need new bios for windows 7
