Driver not responding + bsod + failure to reboot

I purchased this computer from CyberPower PC, it worked fine the day I got it. On the second day I started getting some weird artifacting that progressively got worse for about 20 minutes followed by a Display Driver Not Responding Prompt, and concluded with a full lockup and a bsod. I was playing Left 4 Dead 1, at the time.

I let it sit for a minute or so and then went to check for any drivers that I could be missing. I downloaded the Nvidia drivers, and made sure that I had all of the critical updates - I did. Throughout this, the screen was artifacted all over, including IE. It was late, so I left it shutdown for the night, but the next morning it wouldn't boot up at all. During boot up the screen was once again very artifacted and it launched Start Up Repair, or whatever it's called. It was unable to find a problem. It didn't boot up for 2 days.

Magically, it booted up last night and worked for about 3 hours, then it did the artifact -> freeze -> crash routine that I love so much, this time on Eve Online. Presently, it's working so long as I don't run any games (no artifacts at all) but the moment I load up a game, it will crash again, and repeating that too much would very likely cause it to not boot up at all.

Anyway, I'm hoping that some kind soul will be able to enlighten me as to what the problem is. :) or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

did you contact cyberpower pc? they have great tech help...i have a cyberpower pc and i sent it back so i can get my problem fixed...unfourtanatly they really didnt do anything but waste my time!

While waiting for a response I attempted to venture out of my bubble. I downloaded WhoCrashed and it labeled nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 191.07) and one Google search later, I realized that this was fairly common. Now, I saw several fixes for Vista, and one for a crash happening on w7 installation, but none for my problem (albeit, several reports of my problem.)

I'll keep looking (I have nothing better to do at the moment) but I figured that I would stop here and check to see if anyone here had seen this before or knew a solution. :) Yes, I have the latest NVidia drivers. Thanks in advance.
