Random System Crashes - Windows 7 Ult x64
Hey guys,
See the attached .dmp file for those of you who might be able to view it and interpret it for me.
As far as the issues go, I have had this system for about a year and a half now. These errors have persisted for the latter half of my ownership. Its a custom build, specs below.
Specs:
PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1KW -SR
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz
Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 LGA 775 Mobo
2 x ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 (Crossfire)
G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600
WD VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS 300GB 10,000RPM drive (Primary Boot HDD)
WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM (Secondary Storage HDD)
SB X-Fi XtremeGamer Sound card
The system is built solid as I have been assembling custom computers for people for many years. However, with this system I've experienced random BSODs, a crash in which I can only describe as torn pixel blocks covering the screen (am then forced to use my force restart button), and black screen shutdowns.
I have ran extensive tests using Hiren's BootCD on major system components. The RAM passed extensive memtest86 tests for long durations, the Hard Drives clear after using WD manufacturer diagnostics on all facets of them, the CPU and motherboard clear with most diagnostics as well.
All of this makes me suspect a power supply issue (since the crash occurrences are so random). However, I'd like to be sure.
There, that's the best background I can give. Any suggestions? Please? :)
