Computer keeps on freezing, sometimes BSOD hey everyone.
Well, windows 7 Professional insists on freezing. i've updated all drivers, ran disk check, defraged, uninstalled programs I don't need but still... It's hard for me to say what's causing it cause sometimes I can go through a few hours without it happening and sometimes it happens one minute or so after entering to OS. I have also reinstalled the system a few times but nothing helped.
Sometimes after freezing I restart the computer and the system takes about 30-60 minutes to come up.
i'm attaching a mini-dump crash file for you. I would very very much appreciate your help here. I can't even revert to XP. for better or worst i'm stuck with Windows 7 which I find great, except for driving me crazy in the last two weeks and stealing so much from my time. | My System Specs |

If there are more minidump files, please upload all of them - that will help us to see if there's a pattern to the crashes.
This crash is a STOP 0x101 - BSOD Index
There's entries for FASTFAT.SYS in the stack - are you using a FAT formatted disk anywhere in your system?
Is it possible to remove the FAT formatted disk while you test the system?
Finally, slsk.exe (a process that was running when the crash occurred) is considered a harmful file (one example here: slsk.exe - Process Library - PC Pitstop Libraries ). As such, I'd wonder if the system was infected - and if the infection was responsible for the crashes. Please post over in the Security forums for assistance in cleaning your system: System Security - Windows 7 Forums

more BSODS Hey
Thanks for the answer. Well, the file system of my external hard drive is FAT32. that's where I keep all files (Except for system files, programs and so on) and smart to have done that.
I'm adding more BSOD mini-crush dump reports.
One more thing, everytime the computer hangs of freezes i got the impression it's caused by something else. are there any more reports or event logs i can upload for the problem to be diagnosed?
Thanks a lot for the help. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ASRock OS windows 7 CPU 3000 MHz Motherboard N68-S Memory 3327 MB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / NVIDIA nForc |

Gotta go to my brother's house for Thanksgiving.
Try this:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built (x64), Lenovo x61s Tablet, Samsung Netbook OS Win7 x64 + x86 CPU Intel i7 920, other Intel chips, and the Atom in the netbook Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe Memory 12 gB; 4 gB Lenovo; 1 gB Samsung netbook Graphics Card ATI 4870 Sound Card Yes, I have one of these Monitor(s) Displays 32" Sharp Aquos TV Screen Resolution 800x600 - I have vision issues Keyboard Microsoft Natural Mouse Logitech Trackman PSU 1000 watt (can't recall the brand) Case Antec 300 Cooling Big honking cooler that was rated highly at Toms Hardware Hard Drives 4 - 150 gB Velociraptors in RAID 5

These devices are disabled on your system - can you uninstall them and remove the devices from the system? Code: Photosmart C4500 series ROOT\IMAGE\0001 This device is disabled.
Unknown Device USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\6&732A4AC&0&4 This device is disabled.
Microsoft PS/2 Port Mouse (IntelliPoint) ACPI\PNP0F03\4&316EBAA8&0 This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
Photosmart C4500 series ROOT\MULTIFUNCTION\0000 This device is disabled.
Photosmart C4500 series ROOT\MULTIFUNCTION\0001 This device is disabled. Also, lot's of USB errors in the MSINFO32 report. Please disconnect all USB devices from the system until we're finished testing.

So, please ensure that your BIOS is updated.
Then ensure that you've checked to see if there's a hardware issue with the system (temperature, voltage, dust, RFI, outright borkedness...)
Then check the drivers using Driver Verifier (using the following procedure): Quote: Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.
So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista Startup Repair feature).
Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Automatically select unsigned drivers" and click "Next"
If no drivers show up, then select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.
Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.
If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
If that doesn't work, post back and we'll have to see about fixing the registry entry off-line.

thank you hey
wanted to thank you again for all your help, especially during the holiday, was very thoughtful of you.
anyhow, i had to format the computer since i was a bit fed up with it hanging every five minutes and since i definitely had to continue working on things for the uni.
for the moment everything runs perfectly fine and i'm just gonna try not to burden my computer with driver that i can also leave without. at least until the Microsoft releases driver updates or the manufacturers themselves. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ASRock OS windows 7 CPU 3000 MHz Motherboard N68-S Memory 3327 MB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / NVIDIA nForc |
