BSOD while installing Win7 as dual boot...HELP!

Hey guys, new here..

Have this BSOD problem while installing Win 7 as dual boot (XP pro sp3 already installed 1st as PRIMARY OS), actually it installs fine but when starting win 7 for the 1st time i get BSOD with this - 0x0000009C (0X00000000, 0X80DCB94C, 0X00000000, 0X00000000).

i googled & read something about memory module not properly seated in slot. So i took it out & installed it firmly inside the respective slots.Did a fresh format & installed Win7 but same problem..I should mention that my primary OS, Win XP pro SP3 is running smoothly without any glitches whatsoever..

I switched off all my HDD fans & exhaust fans inside the tower case & took out my EMU 0404 soundcard as well & format the 2nd partition & installed win7 but still get the same problem.

I have installed Win7 on a separate HDD before this & have no BSOD problems...it all started when trying to dual boot Win 7 with Win XP pro.Really need help here.....
Win XP on Partition 1, Win 7 on Partition 2, Partition 3 - Empty ( plan to install ubuntu after resolving this problem)


*Im currently running MemTest86+ v4 just to make sure my RAM is not the culprit...

Finished MemTest86+ v4, everything is fine no problems with RAM..

A STOP 0x9c (shorthand for the 0x0000009c that you received) is a Windows XP crash dump. The same crash dump in Windows 7 is a STOP 0x124 error. This is a hardware error that can be caused by broken hardware, incompatible hardware or drivers, or even just plain bad coding (not all people agree with the last one).

I'd first suggest running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if there are any obvious incompatibilities. It's free from here: Download details: Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

Upload Dump Files
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service - then post the link to it.
Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDump

MSINFO32
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

You might try clearing the cmos and trying again.

Yup, im suspecting it's SATA related. Coz i have installed Win 7 on a PATA HDD & i have no BSOD, system is running smoothly..when i tried it on a SATA HDD on 2nd partition (1st partition running XP pro, smoothly) i get the BSOD. im currently using ULI 5287 vista drivers & it detects all my Sata HDD during setup. could be driver incompatibility???

yup i did run win7 upgrade advisor & all my hardware are compatible..xcept some of the softwares that i run on XP..

I jz wiped my sata HDD clean & in the process of installing xp, will try & install 7 again & if BSOD i will upload all the files required. Thanx guys!

ok guys, after wiping my sata HDD. I successfully installed XP Pro SP3 in Partition 1. Than proceed to install win 7 on Partition 2, all goes well then before logging in to Win7 i get my BSOD. This time a different error.. - 0x0000009C (0x00000000, 0x80DCC94C, 0X00000000, 0X00000000) . before, wiping my sata HDD the BSOD error was 0x0000009C (0x00000000, 0x80DCB94C, 0X00000000, 0X00000000).

Weird, very weird...anyways here's my DUMP(LOL) & my System Info NFO..

thanx bro. i have the latest nvidia driver. as for ULi m5287 i dl from HERE since nvidia bought over the company..cant find a newer one then that...

gonna try a fresh install again with the latest m5287 driver & hope it works this time..Thanks dude..

im doing a fresh install to see if the BSOD still persist with the sata driver that i have..& i'l try the link u gave me as well..

edit: yup got another BSOD (used my m5287 driver) just after the "completing installation part..." : 0x0000009C (0x00000000, 0x80DCB94C, 0x0000000, 0x0000000)

this is the 1st BSOD that i got before i posted my minidump...
