    BSOD Windows 7 using Bootcamp on Macbook

    I've been running Windows 7 for about a week or so on my Macbook and all of a sudden tonight it started crashing to the BSOD. It says something about "applemt.sys" or maybe it was "applemnt.sys". The BSOD is too quick to capture all the details, unless there is a way that I don't know about?

    I am currently using the Mac OSX partition as the Windows partition will crash after about 10mins. I'll include the minidumps here. Thank you!

    Hi mhat and welcome

    well it is not as easy as just running a debugger on a win 7 dmp. the symbols, and drivers are different on a mac. I can tell you that I took a alook at 3 dmps and they all pointed to memory. I dont know if the usual memory tedt will work but here goes

    Dl and run memtestx86 for several hours at least

    Dl and install an app to monitor temps (like cpu-z, anf gpu-x)

    run a system file check (may puke and die)
    type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

    the below drivers are either old or if current were involed in the crashes.

    Hope this helps Kenn J++

    Had the same problem on an iMac 27", couldn't figured out why, so I changed over to Fusion 3.0, and have had no problem after three days of testing (knock on wood).

    I'm running in safe mode right now for the past couple hours so I assume that my problem is with the drivers. I tried repairing the drivers but it crashes before I can complete the install.
    I ran the sfc /scannow and it was OK. I'm pretty sure its not a memory problem because OSX runs fine as does safe mode. Although I don't know much about all this.

    Any othere options I can try?

    Ya. Update the drivers ZigZag showed you.

    Don't worry about the first 2006 one - secdrv.SYS. That's normal and latest for it.

    Its becoming almost impossible to reinstall drivers due to the fact that my optical drive doesn't read hardly any discs and there is not enough time to use a disc image emulator to install before it crashes. I guess I'll have to wait until I get a new disc drive.
