Computer hangs up after upgrade - Help please

My computer randomly hangs up every so often. What I mean by "hangs up" is that I can't access Windows live, internet explorer, and most programs I try to start I get the "There is not enough memory or disk space to run" message. I can't access task manager when it freezes on me either. I can shut it down, but it takes about 5 minutes before it will shut down. I'm running Microsoft Security Essentials and a free version of IObit 360 Security. Only the 360 will run when the system gets hung, Security essentials disappears and won't run when I try to start it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you disabled the page file manually, re-enable it.

Use only one antivirus and uninstall the other.

IObit 360 isn't anti-virus, it's anti-malware.

Alright, I hear ya and understand a little better.

In all honesty, the best thing you can do is completely uninstall all security type of apps from the system. Anti-anything and firewalls too.

Test your system for a day or so like this. Don't download from any torrents, P2P or click on any suspicious e-mail links and you'll be fine.

I personally consider antivirus a virus itself. Simply no need for me but that's because I'm an educated user. (And yes, there is always a risk. I don't mean to lessen any good security practices.)

When your system runs better after that time and you know what the cause is, you can then look into alternatives or decide to test what caused it one by one. It just a good test method and needs to be tried for examples like this. 60-70 percent of cases, fixed.

I deleted my previous version of Windows ( Vista, Windows.old - 24 GB) and I'm only running the anti-virus, nothing else (no anti-malware). So far, no freezes. I'll let you know if there are any changes. Thanks for your advice.

I did find that if I quit a game of internet spades (the one that was installed on my computer) early ( i mean hit the red X and just close the game before it's over) some .exe program associated with Internet spades runs in the background and uses almost all of my computers CPU resources. I noticed this after I put up that CPU meter Gadget. I'm not sure if that's what was causing my computer to hang up or not, but I make sure I "Exit" a game of internet spades and it hasn't froze on me sense.
