    Windows 7 boot up hanging

OK I try to boot to Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and it hangs on the starting windows screen. I have tried to do windows 7 repair option, that goes to a black screen and hangs. Also the DVD goes to a black screen and stays there. Safe mode does not boot and hangs at the file classpnp.sys

I did install a bunch of new programs before this happened. I think I have tried everything under F8 but nothing has worked! Any help would be uber appreciative.

    System specs:
    2.4 ghz duo
    4gb ram
    500 gb HD

You may want to try system restore from a point prior to the new programs. Try installing Window 7. If you can install the OS, try installing the programs one at a time. Use it for a while. If you are sure it does not cause a problem, try installing the next program. Before you start to install any new program, create a system restore point. Finally, good luck

So I would like to try to reinstall windows 7 from the dvd but the dvd freezes as well when it says it is setting up windows files so for some reason I can not even install from scratch.

Have you disconnected everything except keyboard, monitor and mouse? Did you go to Microsoft and use the Upgrade Advisor to search for any conflicts?
