Many crashes Hi there
I have a problem with my computer crashing. Today has been a bad day with four so far.
I have done a clean insatll of Windows RC on a Dell Dimension 4600. It is an Intel Pentium 4 with a 3.0GHz. It has 3.5 GB of ram with ATI Readon HD 2400 Pro.
The system seems to crash when the computer has been running for a while making me think it could be a heat/memory problem but then when another computer starts up from sleep mode and acesses the router it also crashes which makes me think it could be a software problem.
I have attached todays dump files and would be greatful for any advice.
Thanks in advance. | My System Specs |

You're running 7100 which is fairly pointless to debug since it will expire very soon anyhow.
Upgrade to the RTM 7600.
In your current OS, these should be updated to fix the issue:
PfModNT PfModNT.sys Tue Mar 04 23:19:28 2003
e100b325 e100b325.sys Fri Nov 16 13:53:32 2007
And update to latest video card driver by following this: Install AGP Drivers for HD 3850, 3650, 2400 PRO | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

Thanks GuaranT
I will be upgrading to RTM 7600 soon but in the mean time I have to use what I have.
The update to the latest video card driver worked fine and even increased the Windows Experience Index slightly.
When trying to update the other two files however they appear to be the latest versions - Intel says Win 7 has the lates driver for the NIC card and installing the lasted driver from Creative for the sound card actually made the driver older.
Any thoughts on how I can update them as suggested earlier?
Thanks. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Dimension 4600 OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz Memory 3.5GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO AGP (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1) Sound Card SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio |

You can PM Stormy13 about the Creative driver because I noticed he knows about them very well. Or Google for Daniel K. driver.
As for the lan driver, find out which chipset your motherboard is using and use that info to find the latest driver. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 All times are GMT -5.
