Help please - new install and can't get past BSoD

It's possible that your RAM is faulty. To test, you can run Memtest86+ overnight to see if it picks up any errors.

Make sure the heatsink on the cpu is on well and secure.

Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers before the ATI driver?

I started all over again. I was getting confused with the different drivers etc.

So, I installed the realtek audio drivers (as per latest driver on the page you linked), I installed the Lan drivers (as per the original page you linked in your first post), I installed the motherboard chipset drivers and then installed ATI graphics drivers (as per latest driver on ATI website - I am not sure if I have chosen the right one as I have a HD4670 graphics card and the only option that comes close is the HD4600 series).

I got a crash right after the restart for the ATI graphics drivers. Latest file attached.

Spoke to my techie brother in law who suggested just sending the system back to the company that built it as he said there may well be faulty hardware which you can't tell unless you know how to test it etc (which I do not). I don't even understand what you mean about making sure the heat sink on the CPU is on and secure (what is the heatsink?)

I am about 10 minutes away from sending it back for them to do a check and install windows 7. I stupidly spent a lot of money on this computer - asked the company to build and test all hardware but opted NOT to pay the meagre $70 to install all software. A mistake I will never make again. If they had of installed windows 7 for me, they would have tested everything before sending and any faults would fall under their responsiblity and therefore the warranty. HINDSIGHT IS A B*TCH lol.

Can you quickly check if there is anything different in the latest dump file and if not, I am going to pack this disaster up and send it back for checking Something I wanted to avoid but likely won't be able to.

It's probably an error with the memory modules. As I've said, you can test with Memtest86+ overnight.

Memtest came back fine.

Any other ideas?

Will probably box it up and send it back tomorrow but will wait for a response from the company I bought it off before doing that. I want them to guarantee they will fix the problem if I'm going to pay more money.

So disappointing after spending so much money on a computer that I can't get working.

I'll let you know if they figure it out.

How do I check for overheating? I actually suspected that tonight after the computer booted fine after a long break but then BSOD'd after running a few things

Open the computer case up and run a large room fan blowing inside.

If it operates normally under this condition then you know it is heat.

If it crashes still, then you know it's not heat related.

Ok. I thought there was a more technical solution LOL.

One other thing you might want to do besides installing latest bios:

Download CPU-Z and post screenshots of the spd tab and memory tab.

This way, we can see how your RAM is set in the bios and if it needs adjustment.
You can use the paperclip to attach them too.

Do this after the bios update.
