Things do not work on Windows 7

Okey, heres the thing. I do not really know what to call this problem, but things such as "Screen resolution, Display, Windows Update, Advanced network sharing options" and many many other things can't be opened. I do not get any errors, although i do get this one error when i try to play movies in Windows Media player,

    "C:\Users\Frederik\Desktop\TeamFortress2-HeavyWeaponsGuy.wmw"

"Server execution failed." and then i can only press OK.

I didn't know where to post this, and i am also very new to this forum, i actully joined 5 minutes ago.

    Thanks in advance

Is this a fresh install, or did it happen "out of the blue?"

Sounds like you need to try a repair install, or a fresh install.

It kinda came out of the blue, just suddenly the things stopped working. It was like 1 or 2 weeks ago.

At this point, the best thing to do would be to backup your data and do a clean install. It will be much better in the end than trying to fix this botched one.

A clean install is a fresh installation of the OS rather than an upgrade, and is the preferred method among experienced users..
