Another Appcrash.exe -With screens!!!-

Alrighty gents. I am fairly computer savvy and my googlefu is strong.... yet here I am, beseeching you for your help. It seems the appcrash issue is a plague and the solution varies wildly, from enabling search history in Firefox to activating DEP.

Anyway... for me this seems to be happening when browsing in windows explorer. It's happened mostly in the "documents" section and the "downloads." I am not really doing anything other than just.. browsing.

It seems kind of random and I can't really pin it down to one "cause" and I can't duplicate it... so it's making it tough. There is a common theme though -- ntdll.dll What is this DLL and how do I fix it?

Any thoughts? <3

PS - Windows 7 64bit

If your using private browsing in Firefox, turn it off. It causes crashes.

Hi Dan and welcome

Event ID 1000 source 100 is usually (80% of times) a DEP problem. Check the dep setting in control panel>system cpanel>advanced>performance>dep. Default is win apps and services. IE is usually the first to puke on DEP. You can either exclude IE (preferred) or turn DEP off.. instructions here http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/12...ble.html?ltr=D

@Zig -I never use IExplorer but it shall be done!
@Bel - Done and done. I'll update you if it happens again. Like I said it is kind of random and only really happens when I am browsing through folders/downloads.

We shall see.

Might be kind of a no-no to bump an older thread...

Just an update - Haven't had the crash since I started the thread so thanks for the advice guys!
