    Game crashes, freezez ect

    Hey

I just bought a whole new system with some old parts involved.
Im kinda new to Windows 7 and 64bit so this can be easy solved for someone mb ;p

Anyway under you can see my new and some old specs.

    MSI P55-CD53, P55, Socket-1156, DDR3 DDRIII, ATX, 1xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16, GbLan(Winki), OC Genie, DrMOS
    Intel Core™ i5 Quad Processor i5-750 2,66GHz, Socket LGA1156, 8MB, Boxed
    Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 Kit w/2x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, for Core i5 and i7, 1.65V,Intel XMP
    Chieftec Smart Series 550W PSU ATX 12V V2.0, Standard, 2x 6pin PCIe, 4x SATA, 120mm Vifte
    Cooler Master Elite 310 Sort/Bl Vifte: 1x 120mm Bak, ATX, mATX, 2x USB, 1x Audio, 17 dBA
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium EN OEM, 64bit
    Acer 23,6” LCD X243HQ 1920x1080, 5ms, 40000:1, VGA/DVI
    OLD:
    Western Digital 180gb IDE
    Geforce 7800 SE 512mb
    Creative X-fi Soundcard
    Standard DVD Multiplayer CD-rom sata

So I bought some new stuff and tought that the HD would hold and the gfx card..
Well, I think im wrong.. I dont know yet, but a game like Counter Strike freezez up when I alt tab or it changes map
or it downloads a new map. To get out of that the only chance is to reboot. The cdrom have even got stuck sometimes.

I've installed the windows 7, updated it. Installed MB driver, gfx driver, sound drivers.
    Installed Panda Anti Virus program.
    Well, anyway..

My english is bad and this may be to little to draw any conclutions..

But If anyone has any tips or anything of somekind to help me stear in on the right path of
a stabil Windows 7 user I would gladly take it :)

Thank you in advance for bothering reading =)

The two usual suspects are heat and PSU. Also, that's a fairly old vidcard that may simply not be able to handle newer games. Download and install CoreTemp and show us temps. Download and install CPU-Z and show us both the CPU and Memory panels. When in BIOS show us the screen that shows voltages. Could be memory - download and run Memtest86 thru at least step 7 on each stick individually.

    My first guess is PSU.

Thank you so much for posting so quick :)

Here are some pictures Cpu and mem test.
I just got the PSU, but if u think its the prob it might be..

But cant it be the HD, couse it running that on the only IDE.

Anyway if there is anymore information you would like to know then shoot :)

    Thank again

You can uninstall your antivirus to test how it is without it. Do not just disable as this will not help any.

    Hi j0ran and welcome

the event ID 1000, source 100 is usually a DEP error. DEP, or data execution, prevention is used to prpevent an app (or virus) from launching in protected memory space.

You need to look in control panel>system control panel>advanced>preformance>DEP. use the built in snipping tool to mak a screen shot of it and upload it to us usint the attachment icon (shaped like a paperclip) in the reply form. See Pics

You can find out what all these event ID errors are by googling them.
