Sticky notes irritation

Ok, when ever I have sticky notes open and shut windows down it erases the exe file that runs the program. So I have to do the sfc /scannow to get it back. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi and welcome

If you close sticky before shutting down windows what happens? does it happen when you boot in safe mode (F8)?

I have what I guess is a similar issue. It's now happened twice that when I shutdown my computer with the Sticky Notes application still open, the boot sector somehow gets corrupted. At least, Windows will not load, and using the repair disk Bootrec.exe/FixBoot fixes the problem.
