    Usb Transfer Crash


    Hi there.

    i would like to know if u can help me out with this problem.

    every time i want to transfer any data bigger than 600mb to any USB divice (Ipod, Psp, Usb Storage) It crashes showing this error "Try again. the divice is no logger located at X:". the errors appears arround 5 minutes afer i start the transfer.

    This error also occurs in another pc i have, both Windows 7, this never happened to me before in Windows Xp.

    Bump!


    I'm having the same problem with an Acer Aspire X1700. When cpoying data of > 1GB the usb Mass storage driver jacks up completely. however all other usb devices keep working normally. I'm still running on build 7100, idk if that matters.
    If you ever found a solution pls let me know :)

    Update the chipset drivers and bios for the motherboard. See if that help any. MSI has an auto update feature for both on their website.

    Also you might want to think about upgrading to 7600 for that and othere reasons. The RC is goind to time out in something like 3 months

    Ok I found the solution. There is a known issue withe windows 7 on nVidia Motherboards, running with 64bits processors and 4 GB of ram or more. There is a fix available, lookup MS KB Article Number(s): 976972.

    Thanks for the help, but my Motherboard its a Msi K9a2-cf with Ati chipset & 2gb of Ram.

    i don`t know if i should apply this hotfix or not....

    No, don't install the hotfix. Install the latest chipset and other drivers for Win7 from here:

    MSI Global ? Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more
