Windows 7: Yet another 7x64 freezing issue.

You're back to driver issues (or maybe a specific app)... Since safe mode loads only the minimum drivers to get you into the OS and does not load any apps at startup; run msconfig, disable everything in startup and see if the machine is stable. If so, go back to msconfig and check one startup item at a time until you identify the culprit...

I haven't read all the post in this thread so this may be a duplication of what's already been suggested, if so just ignore this post...

PS: 3:45AM here and under the influence of heavy duty prescribed drugs, for what it's worth.

The PSU is 500W, which the online calculators indicate is pretty easily sufficient for my system. Thanks for the tip, though.

Yeah, that's the next step: Disabling devices and startup services. I'm guessing I should ignore all Microsoft services and concentrate on third-party stuff, right?
