Win7 HP 64b crashes during IE8 usage

    Since MS doesn't provide an IE8 for Win7 on its website to download, I tried to install the suggested the IE8 Vista versions and even others:
    when trying to install, all report in a dialogbox that IE8 is not supported on this platform...

    I will re-enable IE8 in the win application setup config screen for windows components and try out the DEP suggestion...

    PS: I have also asked MS for support....

    Welcome to the forums Marc.
    Have you tried this. Start menu/accessories/system tools/IE no add-ons. If it doesn't crash, then you know it's an add-on.

    Also you can try this. Internet Explorer - Reset
