BSOD I'm Out of Ideas
I've read the instructions and attached the memory dump in a zip. I cannot seem to find the second of these two problems. I've searched for it and went to the temp folder but only found similar WER files.
Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\121909-60606-01.dmp
C:\Users\Adam Joseph Weise\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-87079-0.sysdata.xml
*I'm running 100% fine is Windows safe mode with networking.
Recent changes I've made:
- reapplied the thermal paste on my cpu because it was overheating and causing a shutdown. I have speedfan and as of this moment my temps are running as follows: cpu 41 degrees Celsius, each of my 4 cpus are running at 74 degrees Celsius to 65 degrees Celsius down from the 80s plus they were running before the arctic fox thermal paste application. Maybe I knocked something loose in my computer while applying the paste or putting the heatsink back in place.
- my wireless internal modem is new. my old one was running very slowly and when i switched it out there was a visible burn or problem of sorts on it. new modem is connecting fine now and I've installed the drivers from the cd it came with. I can get more information on it if needed.
- installed the ati driver for windows 7. I am now running two monitors through my dual head ATI Radeon 4600 series graphics card.
- I've been installing and uninstalling different registry, virus scan and driver search programs to try to solve my various problems over the last few weeks. This new problem (BSOD) only appeared after I applied the thermal paste and restarted the machine on two monitors.
Theories:
- I installed some driver that is causing this problem
- I installed some hardware or damaged some other hardware that is causing this problem. Maybe the thermal paste was applied too generously and leaked into the computer?
Thanks for all your help, this has been a very frustrating couple of weeks and I'm looking forward to having my computer back to normal.
Best!
Adam
